In 1995, Laura Rose and Emanuel Kuntzelman co-founded the Foundation for the Future in Spain with the aim to further promote cultural and ecological activities. In addition to their work with the Foundation, Emanuel is the President, and Laura the CEO, of the not for profit cultural exchange organization, Center for Cultural Interchange. Together they coordinate the exchange of over 6,000 students worldwide. Through their work with the Foundation and CCI, Laura and Emanuel have been instrumental in the growth and success of the Greenheart movement in Spain and the United States. As life long philanthropists, Emanuel and Laura strive to care for our world in each new endeavour.
Emanuel Kuntzelman
Of the firm belief that a sustainable future is only possible through the transformation of society, Emanuel Kuntzleman aspires by means of his speeches, writings and plays to inspire people to discover the power of the universal consciousness within us all. Through decades of research and spiritual seeking, Emanuel has realized that we create our own reality and must accept that challenge to evolve beyond our cultural conditioning. During his search he became intrigued by the diversity of ideas in the many countries he visited. Seeing that people could benefit greatly from a deeper understanding of cultures beyond their own, he created the Center for Cultural Interchange (CCI) and the Foundation for the Future in cooperation with his wife and partner, Laura. These organizations now foster international exchanges and activities for some ten thousand participants annually.
Combining the research and experiential learning from his peregrinations, Emanuel has developed a model of evolution that demonstrates how we can provide the catalytic input to trigger the realization of our higher selves that will in turn lead to personal and social transformation.
In conjunction with his work at CCI in Chicago and the Foundation in Madrid, Spain, Emanuel coordinates the Greenheart movement worldwide, which supports environmental projects, fair trade shops, Greenheart Music, and other activities. Additionally, he endeavours to provide a philosophical basis for social transformation, and is currently engaged in producing a play entitled "Down to Earth", scheduled to open in Chicago in March, 2009. He is also writing a book entitled "Our Singular Moment in History" and will be giving a series of public lectures during the year to come.
Laura Rose
Being a philanthropist means loving humankind in general, and such defines the essence of Laura Rose. Growing up in the mountainous landscape of the West inspired Laura to become a passionate environmentalist and supplemented her innate love of people. After backpacking across the Rocky Mountains, Europe and beyond, Laura discovered her vocational interest in the field cultural exchange. Equipped with enthusiasm and good will, Laura worked out of San Francisco directing thousands of exchange students annually. In 1991 Laura moved to Spain, and started her work with the Center for Cultural Interchange, where she now serves as CEO.
Laura’s career journey is both a reflection and extension of her personal convictions. Aside from her work with CCI, Laura continues to support various environmental and social projects around the world. In 1995 she and her life-partner, Emanuel Kuntzelman, established the Foundation for the Future in order to further promote cultural understanding and environmental consciousness through the support and creation of educational programs and ecological projects. Laura’s long term goal is to create an educational center in a developing country for deserving children. She aspires to use her good fortune, contacts and energy to give back to the world just a small piece of what she has been given.
